Regals FC takes on Ft Worth Innertunnel at 5:00 PM on Saturday at Maya Park.
Regals FC head coach Miguel Landaverde is excited about the match. “We need a big win in order to set the stage for a strong run for the Summer Cup.” Landaverde said on Friday.
Going into Saturday’s match with a 2-1 SPSL Summer Cup record, Regals FC is 12 points behind first place Rio Grande Valley with three games in hand. The bigger issue is the goal differential gap, the Ocelots are already plus 23 over six matches. Regals FC is showing a plus 6.
“We sent a short crew to Brownsville earlier this summer and that was a mistake, we lost 3-0, and the Ocelots have been scoring a ton of goals. We have our work cut out for us.” Landaverde added.
Innertunnel, on the other hand, got ran over at home by the Houston Hurricane, 9-0, at their last outing.
“We are not looking at the Hurricane blow out as any indication of what Ft Worth has, we have to go into the match with our best game. This is a crazy game and anything can happen.” Landaverde concluded.
